FAQ

What gear do I need and how do I use it?

  • You need one wetsuit, swim cap, hand paddles, floating device between you legs, and swim goggles, and shoes that drain fast. Except from the wet suit that is mandatory you also must have a whistles attached to the wet suit and "Försvarets" first aid kit, big version. (Blood compressor). In Experience Solo you also must have a light inflatable bouey attached on the swim sections for safety reasons.
  • Use hand paddles to get more efficiency, you won't use your legs. It's all about floating position when you swim; use floating device between the legs to get a better position. Practice and save time by nailing the transitions in and out of the water, never stop moving when getting goggles, hand paddles and swim cap on. Help each other with a stretch cord; pull both when running and in the water swimming. Use of camelbak is not necessary in this race, you have plenty of Energy zones along the course and you can drink the seawater if needed. (not recommended) Tie your shoe lashes and stow them properly.  Use light weight shoes with full grip soles
